Gravity cask at Rail Ale ’16, 20/05/16. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is rich malt, burning embers, nutty, toffee, spice. Taste comprises smoked malt, charred wood, bonfire, toffee, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid smoked beer ... plenty of flavour in this one.

Cask @ Gardeners Rest, Sheffield. Black with an off-white frothy-head. Not quite feeling its strength, it has a fairly easy drinking texture with a smoothish, fuller, roasted malt aroma and taste.

GraviCask, shared with Finn at Camra’s National Winter Ales Festival. Coal black body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Smoked dark malty nose, hints of chocolate. Taste of smoked meat added by a touch of cocoa. Mid-sweet malty ending. Like it (The Roundhouse, Derby 19.02.2016).
