Still had some Winter Mixer packs left at The Beer Store. Last one to try and rate of the 4 different ones. Pours a light golden colour that is not filtered to the maximum (which is nice for a lager). Frothy white head, almost creamy, decent retention and good patchy lacing. The taste and aromas are lightly grainy, but with a refreshing mouthfeel, and not too thin. This would be a great lager to give to the mass, who likes the crappy Bud beers and all. I think it is a bridge to the higher micros. Recommended Canadian lager.

Draught at Pumphouse, Richmond, BC
Blond color with medium sized head. Aroma and flavor are very crispy, nice malts.
This beer deserves some attention.

Sampled at Viti, pours pale yellow. Generic lager, slightly smoother and more robust than the average run-of-the-mill macro piss.

Light tan, some haze. Sweetish palate. Tastes a little like corn syrup although I''d be quite disappointed if this small micro actually used any. Goldings or Willamettes in evidence. Flavours are herbal, with mushrooms (finding those in damn near everything all of a sudden), hedges and early morning farmer''s fields. Look at me trying to find new ways of describing a beer I''ve essentially had four dozen times before. What can I say, the beer is so boring I need to make my own fun. Imagine what I can come up with when I finally have Rickard''s Honey Brown...tastes like watching two fat elderly people get it on...no I can do better than that...tastes like watching your dog lick his own balls...something like that anyway.
