Layers of caramel and toffee, very rich in malt flavor with plenty of hops and alcohol. Designed for long-term storage to allow in-bottle seasoning.

Bottle at a sampling event. From notes. Boozy with caramel and butterscotch, somewhat fruity. Nice.

Waxed bomber courtesy of riversideAK, thanks Alex, pours copper to amber with thin tan head. The aroma has marshmallow pine hops, some grapefruit and grapefruit skin like citrus hops as well as some malts and molasses. The taste is rich boozy goodness with molasses, pine hop bitterness, grapefruit hop bitterness and some grassy hop resin. This offers up lots of tasty hop resin mixing with thin layers of mostly sticky malts and molasses. Good stuff!

22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours dark reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel, molasses, maple syrup, balanced just enough with hops. Flavour of butterscotch, dark fruits, caramel / toffee, with quite a lot of sweetness, but not cloying. Excellent barley wine though I could indeed see how this would be better with age.
