Nice normal bitter from a local-ish brewery. The kind you’d bring home to mum. Somewhat sweet finish.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickers, 04/05/13. Clear dark amber with an off white head. Nose is dark malt, fruit, sugars. Taste comprises dark fruits, toffee, biscuit tones, quite ESB like but for the slightly lower ABV. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitterness in the finish. OK bitter - nothing to raise the roof over !

Cask at The Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Golden amber with a billowing cream head; straightforward aroma of malts and English hops; crisp orchard fruit flavour over a malty body; with a rounded bitterness before a dry finish. A very pleasing example of an English bitter.
