A high addition of oat malt brings a smooth mouthfeel and balance to the chocolate and roasted elements. Clean and crisp with a silkly finish.

Dark brown, thin head.. Light aroma. Thin roasty, tobaccoey palate, not much oat, thin but I like the bitterness.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark beer, at first it seemed interesting, but eventually it just has a thin body and a lot of roasted malts, a bit ashy, with some metallic feeling in the end. Nod bad, nothing special.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very dry, bringing out oats and bitter dry cocoa powder. Flavour is well-balanced, with notes of oats, dry cocoa powder and a touch of roast. Balanced and drinkable, but not very exciting. Competent.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with light white head. Aromas of roasted malts. Flavors of oatmeal, heavily roasted barley, and bitter cocoa. Rather sharp as opposed to oatmeal smooth. Simple first iteration.
