Cask. Pours a hazy Amber with moderate head. Aromas of brown sugar, tropical fruit and malt extract. Flavors of dried marmalade, toffee, rubber, resin and toasted malts. Soft, smooth and full. Excellent.

On cask at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy dark orange amber with a medium white head. Aroma brings out quite a bit of wood and resin - the wood dominates. Flavour is heavy on the resinous hops and wood, with a thick caramel malt backbone. On cask, this is very soft on the palate, which I don't think complements the notes that well. Not really my type of IIPA. Decent, but not great.

2014-09-28, cask at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10 oz, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Cloudy amber color with compact head. Nice aroma of sweet malt and peach jam, fruity. Good body, soft, a bit undercarbonated, moderately sweet, with toffee malt flavor, and a lot of fruits, oranges, hop resins. The aromatic components of the hop are stronger than the bitterness.
Excellent IIPA.

2014-09-12, cask at London Pub, Vancouver, probably brewed 2014.07.24, 8-4-8-5-17=42
Cloudy amber color with generous head. Solid DIPA, sweet but not syrupy, not cloying; the hops are mostly fruity, then also strongly resiny; the malts are chewy and a bit biscuity; good bitterness level; candi sugar, light sage; it has a wood character, but not exactly what I would identify as barrel aging. The flavor is better than the aroma.
Very good beer. Satisfying.
