A real lager beer fermented cold with blend of Czech Pilsner and Cali Commons yeast. Generous hopping from old world Saaz and Tetangers with New Zealand Wakatus and finally some North American centennial and cascades. Refreshing, but not without character.

On tap at Big River, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops upfront, with maybe a touch of corn. Flavour is hopped big time, with resinous and piney hops - tastes like an IPA or IPL to me. Quite nice actually - lots of flavour and well-balanced. Good.

Hazy dull amber but a nice head. Earthy, slightly piney nose, with a biscuity, somewhat chewy character. Like "India pale lager" sort of character.

I had quite a few pints of this beer over the weeks, and decided that this bold, perfect India Pale Lager deserves higher respect. 8-4-7-5-16=40

Hazy golden color, compact head. Fruity aroma, hoppy, fresh. Very nice malt profile, a bit biscuity; smooth, dry; very strong bitterness, resiny hops, fruity (peach and mango).

Cloudy golden color, small compact head. The aroma is mildly fruity. The fruity character, although mild, is even more evident in the flavor; very good malt flavor; it’s a bit too much bitter, in the final almost chicory; if they can tune the extra bitterness it would be an amazing beer.
Very interesting.
