Golden with a slight haze and a big head. Lots of malt and a touch of grassy hop on the nose. Light bitterness and a fair bit of pale malt sweetness. Not bad...actually seems like what an imperial kolsch would taste like.

Draft pour at Sound to Summit, Snohomish. Yellow golden pour with almost no head. Mild aroma, apple and grains. Cool and gentle flavor. Straw, grassy hops. Refreshing and potent at the same time. Fun take on the style for sure. A little different, and this could have gone much worse. Good beer overall.

On tap at Sound to Summit, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pretty subdued for an imperial beer, with cereal malt and biscuity malt. Flavour is more abrasive, with crisp biscuity malt, lots of phenols and an abrasive bitterness on the finish. Not sure why of all the imperial beers you could brew, you'd do a kolsch. Doesn't work here.
