Patersbier, or "father’s beer", is a traditional low-gravity style that was a staple of Belgian monastaries. Pilsener malt, flaked oats, and German Tettnanger hops allow the traditional Belgian yeast to shine, producing complex fruity notes that compliment the dry, slightly bready body. Highly carbonated for a crisp, refreshing finish, this beer pairs well with any meal. Drink now, and forever be at peace.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy straw, medium white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma of Brett, Belgian spice, black pepper. Flavor is very light sweet, light bitter, nice Brett funk, peppery, a bit of field grass. Light body, soft carbonation. Really nice.

On tap at Proper, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite floral, with biscuity malt and light Belgian yeast. Floral finish. Not very interesting even got the style, but it's okay.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub the day after they were allowed to finally sell their own beer. It pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma is fruit-o-plenty with apple and fig and some pear sweet estery notes as well as a mild honey and sweet wheat sensation in the background. The taste is similar but has a nice balance with a carbonation enhancement that sends up a bit of something not so sweet. Not sure what that is but I like how it cuts the sweet esters and sugary malt sweetened wheat notes.

On tap at the brewery. A cool brew, very easy to drink. Pours a light amber color with a medium white head. A sweet phenolic nose with spices and banana. A floral hop bite, some bubblegum, banana, light pepper and spices, earthy. Very mellow and drinkable.
