I tried the three fruit versions before trying the base beer. Golden colour, thin head. Has a bit of a plasticy phenolic nose. Similar taste...sweeter than a saison should be by far, a touch plasticy and really not bringing any sort of herbal hop or spice that I’d want in the style.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy dark blond color, a bit dull, with compact head. The aroma is spicy, coriander, a bit estery, flowery. The mouthfeel is off-dry but not weak; the flavor is very skewed toward the coriander, but not funky, there are vegetables notes, and a candy feeling; common Saison strain in North America, and it’s a bit cloying, although not too fruity. But it lacks of character and so the beer.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very nice rustic saison yeast upfront, with some light citrus zest and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is very bright and crisp, with a very nice rustic saison yeast brightness, along with bright citrus zest and dry biscuity malt. Wonderfully structured - the yeast expression is very pleasing. Finishes crisp and zesty. Really good.
