Glowy hazy blonde. Bubbly head. Aroma so bright, with that melony, asian pear and dank passion fruit galaxy goodness. While other local brewers are pooping around with nonsense hops for their smash beers, Parkside knows galaxy is one of the absolute best smash hops. Resiny taste, abundant bitterness, hop juice, the pale malts are barely there. It’s almost too much, even for this galaxy fan. Better get a growler just to be sure.

On tap at Parkside, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops upfront, followed by some resinous hop oils. Flavour is very oily, with tons of dank resinous hop oils and pine. Hop oils provide a residual sweetness that is a bit over-pronounced. But all in all, this is very nice.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is hoppy, a bit musky. Pale malts with light residual sweetness, they don’t get in the way, but also they don’t seem to provide the expected quality; strong hopping, resiny character, but the pithy bitterness in the final is too strong, and there is some chicory bitterness, disturbing. When you get a 2/5 for Palate in an IPA consider it a failure.
Tasted side to side with the new Superflux, so this one didn’t stand a chance.
Ok beer, not remarkable.
