Cloudy tan. Bit frothy but not a lot of lasting head, although that’s in a 4W teku, not a weizen glass. Aroma is heavy on the weizen character, a mild banana and maybe with marshmallow malts. On the palate, the malts are really sweet, creamy, very well done. The hops aren’t in evidence at all, which is too bad. Not much hopfen. As a weizen, I like it because it’s full-bodied without being candyish, but there is a bit of harsh phenol underpinning this beer. It’s kind of low level so if you’re not studying the beer you probably wouldn’t notice it, but it’s there.

Draught at the brewery
Murky blond color. The aroma of a spicy hefeweizen and some citrusy hop, light incense as well. The mouthfeel is too floury, muddy, yeasty, then astringent, resiny, and vegetable.
Extremely dirty.

On tap at the brewery with Alex and Brian during anniversary event. Pours a cloudy opaque pale golden with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and spicy. Taste is pretty similar. Good stuff.

On tap at Twin Sails, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely wild yeast, with subdued stone fruit skins, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is moderately tart, with plenty of citrus tartness, moderate wild yeast character, and a bit of stone fruit in back. Not the deepest beer, but it's moderately complex and well-blended. Certainly one of the better local wild ales.
