Sample at the Carlsbad brewpub. This beer is a slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Pizza Port Bressi Ranch, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, like dank notes and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is aggressive, with piney hops galore upfront, followed by light spiciness and dry biscuity malt. Bold and punchy. Lovely stuff.

Shaker pint draft at Pizza Port San Clemente. The pour is mostly clear copper golden, with smallish off white head. The aroma is bright citrus, floral, caramel malt and evident booze. The taste is the citrus floral hop, nice dank to it, balanced well with the sweetness of the caramel malt. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, dank, sweet little boozy in the lingering finish.
