Golden color, clean. Heavy bourbon notes over a moderately bodied and sweet pale ale; the result is liquid cheap-ish fudge and butterscotch. A bit more bitter in the final than expected.
Pleasant, warming winter beer, very simplistic though.
I imagine a small family gathering of lager drinkers in their Christmas sweaters drinking a glass of this once a year and being amazed.

Touch of haze, vibrant amber. Cereal, big toasty, quite sweet, low grade whiskey, has muscle but no dexterity.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear copper golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oak barrels, a little bourbon, and toasted caramel. Flavour brings out a pretty cheap bourbon, I guess JD, with toasted caramel and some vanilla. You can't hope to create anything worthwhile with JD barrels, and this is no exception. Weak stuff.
