Bottle. A very dark brown beer with a dense dark beige head. Lots if licorice ibn the aroma, with roasted malts, molasses, some dark dried fruits and a faint spiced touch. Some booze in the flavor, with lots of licorice and molasses. Hints of coffee grit. It’s warming, full bodied and rather dry. Lasting licorice finish. A bit harsh and edgy this one, but sure a fine one. 161231

Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes that follow the nose plus notes of dark chocolate, Speyside malt whisky and rosehip marmelade. Nice complexity.
