Dark brown, nice golden accent, and a fairly thick head. The aroma is quite nutty, and it’s similar on the palate. Light bitterness. Complex, toasty malt character, with a touch of toffee.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
On tap at Parkside, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt upfront, followed by a touch of roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with moderate roast and some astringent bitterness on the finish. A little jagged, but balanced reasonably. Standard brown ale.
