Hazy, dull amber. Thin head. Touch of chewy amber malt. Very woody, tannic, nice biscuity, nutty malt character. If you like wood, this is your beer.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy golden color with compact head. The malts are bready, grainy, chewy, but with moderation, for a very powerful backbone; good bitterness level, but not much hop quality, just a bit herbaceous in the final, possibly some chicory; the mouthfeel is soft and robust.
Definitively a base and a concept to further explore.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy full golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light wood and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with a lovely woody character upfront, followed by toasted biscuity malt and a decent hoppy character. Light malt sweetness. Nothing special but it's solid.
