500 ml can. 2022 vintage @ 11%. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of whisky barrel, nougat, toffee and bready malts. Flavors follow same with additional sweet nutty chocolate. Lots of nice barrel flavors including burnt oak, whisky and vanilla, but may be a little strong for the base stout.

500 ml bottle from Bottleworks. Nose is chocolate, milk sugar, vanilla, and a hint of roastiness. Black with a small lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet, very chocolaty, and rich vanilla. Nice to run into a quality beer from a small brewer and thanks to the Bottleworks guy for pointing it out.

Bottle pour. Fun to try their beer from a bottle, and it happens to be their one beer that seems to separate from all the rest in their young existence. Dark chocolate brown pour with a thin, patchy head. Aroma is a sweetened, fruit and chocolate front. Flavor is a bit rich up front, but settles down. A huge chocolate constant. Cool vanilla, and milk chocolate. A true treat of a dessert like beer here. Flavorful, and impressive. Enjoyed this.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out cocoa nibs, a touch of vanilla and low roast. Flavour is heavy, with loads of highly sweet chocolate, roasted malt and some vanilla. Viscous and cloying, but still pleasant. Too sweet for me, but it's nice.
