Quite heavy on the lavender, a little too much perhaps. Not sure if it meshes so well with the brett funk. Good beer, not their best.Almanac taproom sf

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is very floral, citrus notes, oak. Flavor is light plus tart, floral and citric. Light plus body.

375 mL bottle poured. This beer just sounds like it's going to be good. It's a little sweet, but I think it actually adds to this. Shiny golden pour. The lavender dominates the aroma, though I don't get a whole lot of floral notes on the flavor. Sweet honey, and apple like flavors. Cool, slightly dry brett finish. Not really sour at all. Its the last thing that really comes to mind for me with this beer. Well executed beer here.

On tap at Almanac, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out oak barrels, moderate brett and attenuated honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with brett, attenuated out honey and light oak. Very good balance of wild yeast, oak and honey. Great stuff.
