Dark brown. Thin head. It foamed up a bit, I guess because of the brett in the bottle. Tartness, dark fruits, wine barrel are prevalent on the nose. That makes it fairly dry on the palate, woody, and also a bit tart. The dark fruits are not as big on the palate as the liveliness has stirred up a bit too much yeast. It's a bit too carbonated. So this is one I maybe should have consumed immediately, or on draught, as I feel it's maybe not at its best.

Taster shared with Brian. Appearance: murky dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: fruity, a bit smoky, sourness, berries. Taste: similar, moderately sweet/sour, with wine barrel notes, a bit abrasive. Overall: ok.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of coffee, dusty roasted malts, and dark vinous fruit. Flavors follow same with rich coffee and a bit of oak. Can’t really get the Brett but maybe adds a softness. A mix of flavors that seem to hang together. Interesting.

Bottle sample at Aslan, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is intense on the brett upfront, with the red wine barrels blaring through underneath, and then maybe a hit of roast and whiskey. Flavour is complex and cohesive, with loads of brett upfront, complemented by whiskey and red wine barrels. Bit of cocoa and harsh roast underneath. Unusual melding of flavours that work wonderfully. Excellent.
