Golden-amber. Not much head. The aroma is of bubblegum and random malt sweetness. Peat smoke up front but fuck...so sweet, sticky, bubblegum. Sticky and unbalanced, like they weren't even aiming for Belgian ale. This needs at least 20 IBUs and fuck knows some malt complexity and a different yeast that the brewer can actually control. No way I can finish 4oz of this.

On tap at Moody, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light peated smoke upfront, with a big caramel malt body. Flavour is peaty and caramely, with toasted bready, a sort of cracked black pepper quality, with gentle peat, and plenty of caramel. Not detecting the Belgian yeast. Decently constructed, but nothing special.
