Bottle from Tick Beer. Appearance - golden amber with a slightly off-white head. Nose - bready and caramel mainly. Perhaps some orange. Taste - all caramel and brown bread this time. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy middle with a finish that is a little sweet. Overall - I like my Bitter with a bit more bitterness than this but nothing really wrong with it.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tucker’s Maltings Beer Festival, 15/4/2016. Amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of hedgerow fruits, caramel and a touch of leafy hop. Flavour of bready malts and more fruit, leading to a short, bitter, finish. Ok.

Cask as Cerne Abbas Blonde at Blue Raddle, Dorchester. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The nose is soft, mellow, white bread, biscuit and dried fruits. The taste is smooth, bready malt, light biscuit, straw and dull citrus peel with a dry finish. Good condition. Not very much going on, but pretty inoffensive stuff.

Cask from the brewer’s own stall at the Salisbury Christmas market. Amber with a small white head. Malty from the off with some bread and nuts. Fades a little as you drink more, but nevertheless remains pretty thirst quenching and satisfying. A standard bitter that gets the job done without making any fuss about it.
