This winter brew is an ode to the colorful characters—those who flatten snow in the wee hours of the night, ascending into darkness without fear, and living in a world of powder. It is for these “Midnight Marauders” that we took some local artisanal roasted coffee from Coda Coffee Company and brewed it up in a stout made up of a complex blend of roasted malts. Enjoy this beer in the morning or evening, to get you through the long winter months.

We are very excited to introduce the Snowcat blend! The Snowcat Blend was born from a partnership with Coda Coffee, and its fruit-forward flavor profile is sure to please. The citrus acidity and floral undertones make for a beautiful cup no matter how you brew it.

Så og si svart farge med luftig tynt beige skum. Lukten preges av kaffe men også sjokolade og svisker. Noe oljete i munnfølelse. Smaker av kaffe, sjokolade og noe salt lakris. mild avslutning.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a fairly quick dieing off thin off white little head. Stringy lacing weaves all around the glass nicely.
The aroma starts off with some dark chocolate, bitter coffee beans, some milk chocolate, roasty coffee bean and then some light toast.
The flavor yields strongly to the roasted coffee bean very dryly. Bitterness of the bean comes out decently. Rolling bitter to smooth dry coffee bean aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable to almost sipping quality about it. Mild carbonation. Nice roasty component laying down on my tongue.
Overall, nice roasty American styled stout I would surely have again.

Can. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. English licorice notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong coffee and roast notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate and a little too fizzy.

0.355l can. It's definitely darker than cola brown on the pour this one and on top, at first a really lovely looking deep chocolate brown head that quickly fades in to a thin brown film that clings to the sides if the glass. Smells chocolaty, lots of cold coffee and it's quite on the roasty side for sure. Brown burnt sugar and cold coffee. Nuts and hints of mocha. Like it. Like how it tastes also. It has a really present acidity. Coffee acidity or roasted malts acidity, not sure but it's definitely there. As is thin chocolate, bitter cold coffee. It's a little thin perhaps, not watery but not particularly full-bodied and soft of the prickling carbonation. All in all a nice coffee stout. 13.09.2015

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 5.9%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of coffee, also roast malts, hints of molasses, tar, ashes and liquorice. Moderate carbonation. The flavour has notes of strong coffee, roast malts, liquorice and bittering hops. A pretty solid brew, but the coffee is a bit more dominant than I prefer. Still, I bought a "coffee stout", so I don’t complain.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Roasty nose, more malt roastiness than actually coffee aroma. Medium body, very dry roastiness on your palate, but again the actual coffee notes are very downplayed. Dry and malt bitter finish. If it didn’t have coffee on the can I could have believed it to be just a well roasted Stout. But easygoing and far from bad. 090516
