This winter brew is an ode to the colorful characters—those who flatten snow in the wee hours of the night, ascending into darkness without fear, and living in a world of powder. It is for these “Midnight Marauders” that we took some local artisanal roasted coffee from Coda Coffee Company and brewed it up in a stout made up of a complex blend of roasted malts. Enjoy this beer in the morning or evening, to get you through the long winter months.
We are very excited to introduce the Snowcat blend! The Snowcat Blend was born from a partnership with Coda Coffee, and its fruit-forward flavor profile is sure to please. The citrus acidity and floral undertones make for a beautiful cup no matter how you brew it.

Can. An almost black one, with a small dense tan head. Some lacing. Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Some hints of coconut and dried fruits. It’s full bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with a berry-like sourness. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee and bonfire hints in the flavor. Dried fruit hints. Lasting roasted finish with coffee, chocolate and a sour hint. Quite delicious this one, although a tad on the dry side. 160220

355 ml can from Systembolaget, poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with dark malts, chocolate, coffee berries and herbal hops. Taste is lightly sour. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Good for the abv. Finishes slightly dry with roasted malts and coffee. Nice Stout, good after dinner.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dark brown with tan head. Heavily roasted coffee aroma with dark chocolate. Loads and loads of coffee bitterness in the taste, quite unbalanced. There’s nothing more than the coffee.

Can bought @ Systembolaget. Pours pale brownish black with a small beige head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and roasty with roasted malts, burnt toast, dark roast coffee, charred wood, moist soil and minerals. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, malty and slightly earthy. Mouthfeel is soft, tiny crisp, slightly round, astringent, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and very tiny sour with roasted malts, burnt toast, dark roast coffee, burnt wood, moist soil, liquorice and minerals. Simple and to the point. Solid coffee stout.

Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Max. Black with a tan head. Roasty aroma, with coffee, some cocoa, a vegetal note. Roasty flavor, quite dry, with coffee, a bit of cocoa, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.
