A creamy, pale oat ale hopped with a huge charge of Equinox and Simcoe hops for a piney, eucalyptusy, cedary, sprucey, foresty blast. First brewed in 1995... brewed today in a time of change.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, fruity, some caramel, slightly sweet. Lovely ale from Lagunitas, I could drink this all evening.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, rich creamy head. Generus aroma of pears, citrus and spruce. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded, somewhat oily mouthfeel. Caramelly biscuits, grapefruit and pears. Long bitter finish. Has the typical Lagunitas house character, which is a good thing.

Bottled:
A sweet caramel-base with lots of pine, lots of hops and lots of resin upfront. Long bitterness.
Breaks no new ground but is still very pleasant.

Keg@The Hare and Billet, Blackheath, London - pours orange amber with a white head and persistent lacing. Aroma and taste is a medley of sweet tropical fruits, prominent grapefruit, tangerine, citrus peel, with a good malty backbone, caramel, toffee, resinous hoppy, pine needles, some nice spicy hop bite, warming bitter finish. Beautiful.

From bomber to pint glass. Aroma is fusel alcohol to a surprisingly high amount for the ABV. Strong sappy cedar plank with a bubblegum backing. Peat and leather horse saddle....not in a brett way...in a leather way. Peppermint candy. Pours a mostly clear hazy orange with off white head that retains as a collar of small bubbles. Slight patterns down the side of the glass. Taste is piney, cabin lodge and tree sap. Peat moss is also lingering. Moderately cloying. Moderate high bitterness.

Bomber. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head and tons of streams of carbonation rising up. Aromas are weak... honey and a little bit of floral hops is about all I’m picking up here. Flavor is boozy... that’s the first thing... ABV is hot and not hidden very well. A bit of honey sweetness with some bitterness that doesn’t really find a direction. I am just not that impressed with this one.
