GG. Dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma and flavor is licorice, roasted malt, coffee, nuts, dried fruit, alcohol. Nice.

WoW - the licorice root blended very fine with the barley wine base

Dark amber with off white head - Malt and liqurice aroma - malt body with some good liquerice flavourws - The liqurice flavours goes into the finish - This was real good

Big bubbly-creamy longlasting head, clear dark amber color. Aroma is sweet sour-ish grainy, caramel malts, tobacco, dried grain, dark sugar, alcohol, bark, weeds, sour grass, minerals, old rope. Taste is sweet sour-ish boozy, licorice, bark, booze, soil, dark sugar, grain, metal tank, cough syrup, medicine. Longlasting harsh bitterness, sweet boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

Jer ser at Yngwie foreslår å lagre denne en stund, men å ha en svak karakter gir ingen umiddelbare gleder med mindre man gir etter, så her er altså luke 14/24: vakker dyprød rubinfarge m,ed ok skum. Mørke dessertchokolader og lakris i ymse former, nytraktet kaffe, brente mandler/knekk. I mangel av et dessertbord smakte denne helt fortreffelig alene, selv uten lærbelte. 0,33 boksen fikk jeg hos statsnissen i Verksgata.

Can. An almost clear dark brown beer with a small, dense dark beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, coffee notes, nuts, dark dried fruit, alcohol and some spiced hints. Sort of woody, and with a bit rough licorice root touch. It's full-bodied and sweet on the palate, warming and smooth, with a decent bitterness. The flavor has a fine boozyness, with roasted malts, coffee, toffee, dark dried fruit and a spiced touch, and quite a lot of of licorice root. A bit more roasted than the plain Valhall, pushing towards something reminscent of brown gravy that is burnt a bit in the pot. A very nice one, but I guess it would benefit from storage. 241129
