Vågsbygd. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma and flavor is raisin, black current, alcohol, coffee, spices, nuts, wood, malt. Powerful.

Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish grainy, dusty burnt grain, bark, minerals, alcohol, burnt toast, metal tank, soil, fruit stones, burnt rubber. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish grainy, weeds, burnt grain, soil, sour dark berries, alcohol, minerals, burnt toast, metal tank, leather, fruit stones, burnt rubber. Boozy and harsh sour-ish metallic mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee. Not even aging will save this one.

Opp fra min dobberltbunnede julekalender dukker denne opp, en 0,33 boks fra Rygrnissens hylle i Verksgata: mørkerød mahogny med fint skum som varer. Solbær først og fremst, etterfulgt av fiken, aprikos, litt grapefrukt og furunål. Fin bitterhet balanserer den gode maltsødmen. En saftig, knallgod farligwine.

Can. An almost clear dark brown beer with a small, dense dark beige head. Less coffee in the aroma than the in original one, still sort of more coffee-ish, in a spiced way. Nuts, wood and alcohol. A bit sweetish. Nice carbonation and a full body, warming and sweet, with a decent bitterness. Not much blackcurrant going, neither in the aroma nor in the flavor. A bit strange flavor, but nice indeed, even though I prefer the regular one. Roasted, nutty, sweet, sort of acidic fruity, and berryish. Lasting finish. Nice indeed, but I didn't catch much blackcurrant. Prefer the regular. 241129
