Cask at CASK Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Very dark brown, with a light brown head which dissipates quickly. Liquorice, espresso, molasses aroma. Very sweet, a hint of coconut milk. Grainy bitter finish. Medium body.

Cask at CASK. It pours near black with small beige head. The nose is big umami notes, bitter-sweet, dark chocolate, treacle and liquorice. The taste is firm bitterness, roasty, toasted coconut, cocoa, mild acidity, coffee, charred wood, ash and liquorice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty nice, but rather drying. Could be done with a touch more sweetness, but still decent.

Cask-conditioned on gravity, at Swindon Beer Festival, 23/10/2014. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, tan, head. Big, toasty mlats, a touch of dark fruit and some coconut in the background, that avoided bounty bar sweetness. Flavour was dryish with a touch of boozy alcohol. Enjoyable.
