Re-rate: Handpull cask on All Souls' Day 2019 at the King's Head, Stamford. A very different beer than the one described previously: it's golden in colour with aroma of sweet spice and St Clements. Sweet taste with some nutmeg and peach nectar in the finish. 3.6, Avg 3.4 Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Dark gold/copper. Respectable white head. Sulphurous floral aroma isn’t up to much. Bitter taste with a sour edge. Finish is nice and long with tannic grassy notes. Not a great beer by any stretch of the imagination but good enough on the night, with lots of character. 3.2
