An intriguing traditional porter with velvety smooth chocolate and toasty biscuit notes from a complex grist comprised of no fewer than 8 different ingredients. A bitter edge of herbal and mildly fruity hops balances without overwhelming the malt character.

Cask @ Pub, Leicester. Dark Coca-cola brown with quickly-disappearing beige head. Faint aroma of coffee and chocolate truffle. Taste is a pleasant sweetness which has a slightly more sour finish. Not much in the palette. A good but rather forgettable beer.
