Our ninth Proto beer is a Black IPA, which receives its full, yet soft body from the oats and wheats in our own fields. A generous dose of Mosaic- and Columbus hops then sets the foundations for a citrusy aroma and a bitter after taste.

Tap at Olutsatama Jkl. Dark ruby color, creamy steady beige head. Toasted, bready aroma. Lost its aroma hops. Medium-bodied. Caramel, toasted maltyness, grass. Mellow.

Draught @ Fairbar, Norre Alle 66, 8000 Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Malmgård Proto #9 ].Unclear dark brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beaige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grass, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, citrus - grapefruit, hoppy, grass, light licorice wood - root. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150915]

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma amd taste are roast malt, rich hops, flowers, little chocolate and has a light bitter finish.

200ml on tap at Black Door in Helsinki. Fawn-coloured head blanketing the glass. Rosewood coloured body. Attractive aroma of pine and dark malts. Flavoured with slightly roasted malts, peach, pine needles and herbal hops. Bittersweet tail. Well blended and easy to like (26.09.2015).
