Sampled from the tap at ABR 2017. Pours a clear very pale straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of ginger with a cookie note supporting. Flavor is similar with ginger throughout and a cookie note backing.

Keg at the brewery, 10/24/16. Pale golden,thin fizzy head, poor retention. Aroma of ginger and pale malt. The taste is strong ginger and pale malt. Thin.

Tasting at Mattโ€™s
Pale color, poor head. Aroma of ginger tea; nothing really good about the cereal base, flavor, and it has some soapy ginger, lemony, salty.
Not pleasant.

Bottle - Like Jamaican style ginger beer. Clear gold with almost no head. Tastes like proper ginger pop. Not great for a beer though.

12 oz. bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is huge on the ginger, with lots of sweetness mixing in there. Flavour brings out faded ginger, medium sweetness and toasted dry graininess. Not totally offensive, but very weak and not nice at all.

Bottle 12fl.oz. [ As Lakefront New Grist Ginger ].Clear light yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, pale malt, ginger, spicy, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150812]

Clear pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, semi dry and mildly crisp. Ginger! Fruity ginger. Itโ€™s a very ginger beer sorta beer but without the sweetness. Light crispy finish bring modest ginger heat. Quite drinkable.
