(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Very dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, dark rye bread, raisins, liquorice and hints of nutmeg. Roasted, malty taste with notes of dark rye bread, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, some coffee and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Fairly sweet, with quite low bitterness. More like a spiced up dark lager than a porter, but a quite nice beer.

Very dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aroma of cookie spice, cardemum, cinnamon and ginger with a hint of chocolate. Sweet spicy flavour with a little toffee. I can’t deal with so much spice in a beer

(Bottle) Poured black with medium sized and light brown head. Aroma contained nutmeg, other spices and mildly roastedness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, mildly chocolate, mildly roastedness and low bitterness, Aftertaste was spicy and mildly bitter. Better than I excpected.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with a tan head. Spicy and slightly fruity aroma with hints of minced pies, dried fruits, cinnamon and ash. Spicy and fruity taste with hints of tobacco, dried fruits and allspice. Full marks for trying it, but I don’t think it has paid off.
