We don't make many dark beers, particularly of the stronger variety. So like the eager students we are, we enlisted the help of Low Key Barrel Project to enlighten us in the way of the dark arts. With their help, we put together this rich and decadent imperial stout. Chocolate, Coconut, Tonka and Vanilla Brownie.

Keg at the Gidea Park Tap Room. Near opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth airy palate, decent fine carbonation. Airy smooth dark malts, a little oaty dark chocolate. Dark chocolate Malteasers. Mile coconut. Boozy chocolate liqueur. Ripe fruits. Some Tonka pseudo vanilla choc and a little coffee. Airy finish. Airy and drinkable.

Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, vanilla, custard cream, tonka, coconut, taste is sweet toffee, chocolate, coconut, tonka, fudge in the finish. 3.8

On tap at Low Key Taproom Ashford . Black beer. Lasting tan head. Aroma kf chocolate. Tanka bean. Vanilla. Smooth in mouth. Lots of tonka. Then the Vanilla and coconut comes in on the end. Good. Entertaining. Dessert beer.
