12 oz can from Pilgirm’s. Aroma is wheaty, Smarties, citrus peel, floral, lemon. Pours hazy pale yellow with a medium white head with decent retention. Taste is sour (8/10) and acidic, wheaty, salty. Not really getting the botanicals, but it’s tasty stuff.

Not very gin-like in the pine needle sense. The sourness is low on this, but it's cleanly made. Lemon peel comes through quite a bit. Winstons. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of lemon, spice and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of tart citrus, coriander, yeast and doughy malt. The finish has a gin-like quality with a lemony aftertaste. Above average overall.

Hazy golden and lightly peach coloured body with a relatively large off-white head. Aroma of grass, pickles, vinegar, light salt, a hint of spent grain and a dose of sour, more astringent scent.. Light to perhaps Medium-Bodied; Strong dry and grassy flavour at first with a nice dose. Aftertaste shows quite a pungent and almost vinegear-like scent with some pungent and almost vegetal flavour with cucumber, grass, pumpkin and an additional big vinegar touch near the end. Overall, a decent beer, nice in the warmth, as it will be way too hot sometimes! Overall, a nice beer with a very dry finish and a small but noticeable funkiness. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, Fairfax on 20_june-2017 for US$2,99. sampled at home in Washigton on 19th at Fifth Avenue.

Nice and dry sour, no offending notes, bit like a flat champagne beer.

Can: Nearly clear, light yellow, with a large, off-white head. Lime, salt, lemon aroma. Taste is nicely tart and dry.....lemon/lime, wheat malt, sea-salt.... Really enjoyed the brininess of this one.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lightly tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, berry, sea salt, wheat, cracker, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, salt/spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, berry, sea salt, wheat, cracker, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, berry, sea salt, wheat, cracker, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, salt/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Moderately dryness from tartness/acidity, increasing through the glass. Medium carbontion and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and grainy/acidic/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very nice gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, salt/spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellow acidity/tartness. A lot more balanced and less acidic than the other Anderson Valley gose I’ve had, but just as enjoyable.
