Ahh Citra and Simcoe, where would we be without you? From that very first version we brewed way back in January 2018 for Chester Beer Awards, this hop combination has followed us right the way through - from DDH Pales all the way up to DIPAs on our dearly departed Originals range, all the way to today's Augment range, we struggle to find a more consistent hop pairing, which is why we'll always fall back to our first love. Uncanny Valley is Citra and Simcoe treated to all the tips, tricks and techniques we've learned over the last three years as a brewery - our bespoke LA3 yeast strain is working its magic here, holding all that incredible flavour in suspension, meaning all those pineapple, mango, and papaya notes are working full blast.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light to mid-yellow and fairly hazy with a tiny film of white head. Pink grapefruit and a little bit of melon on the aroma. It's sweet but not impossibly so, with some lemon drop in the taste alongside pink grapefruit notes, and a dusting of vanilla sugar. Long complex finish. Light body, heavy carbonation. More complex and subtle than similar joose bombs. Well-made.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20210506) The beer poured close to murky orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pineapple, pine, mango and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, pineapple, mango, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, piny and bitter. A tasty fruity brew with strong notes of pine and good bitter finish.

Can from Bottles & Books. Murky golden body with a white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pineapple, straw and peach. Flavour of lemon sponge, orange pith and minerals. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It tastes a bit sharper than it smells.
