AROMA: medium-low roasted malt aroma with chocolate-like notes. slight yeasty note. APPEARANCE: very dark brown to black color with ruby highlights. opaque. Large tanned head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium yeasty flavor, followed by medium-low roasted malt presence (chocolate or coffee-and-cream) with a semi-sweet character. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry and slightly roasted finish. PALATE: medium body with excessive carbonation. noticeable alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: an american porter (old robust porter) with a distracting yeasty presence, higher alcohol content, carbonation and with a malt profile more similar to an English Porter.

[Thanks to andregoncalves]. Bottled. Black colour with a frothy off-white head.Aroma is light roasty with some licorice notes. Flavor is slightly bittery with notes of roasted malts and some ashes hints. Light body with a slightly bittery final.

Bottle thanks to Andre. It pours darkest brown with a medium light tan head. The nose is earthy, roast, toast, ash, light tobacco, alcohol and some caramel. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasted malt, ash, cocoa, cola, caramel, liquorice and some alcohol with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Not a whole lot of depth, but is pretty drinkable nontheless.
