Our newest Coolship release - this time celebrating local Somerset grapes!
This beer has been made by our team footstomping grapes in our coolships, fermented in our ex-wine foudres and matured in wine barrels. We have then blended the grape beer with some of our barrels of spontaneously fermented Coolship beer, inoculated by the wild cultures in our brewery, to create a complex and elegant wine and sour beer hybrid.

Bottle. RAD beer. Hazed gold. Fine white head. Nose has lemon brett. White grape must. Twang of leathery funk. Soft and sweet oak. Taste has a bright, fruity sweetness. A little tart and tannic. Smooth and easy drinking. Minimal acidity. Fine foamy carbonation. Sharp and tart, juicy fruit to finish. Not sure the grapes elevate the base beer too much, but then again the base beer was extremely good anyway.

750ml bottle – Pours a cloudy orange-gold colour with a small bubbly white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is tart fruit, green grapes, apple, straw and light funk. An acetic sour vinous taste, soft funk, fruity grape, tart apple flavours, a light sweetness with some woody notes and a dry sour finish.
