Come le Dubbel prima di lei, Birra Montecassino è caratterizzata da un colore ambrato scuro e un alcool moderato di 6,5%. La nostra ricetta rielaborata con diverse specialità di malti, conferiscono alla birra il suo colore profondo e il suo profumo intenso e caramellato. La sua speziatura delicata, insieme a una leggera nota di amaro bilanciano il suo corpo per una birra piacevole e degna delle sue radici storiche.

Bottle from their UK webshop. It pours clear dark ruby with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, jammy, dried and dark fruits, cherry, fig, cola cubes, clove rock and a splash of Dr Pepper. The taste is initially dry, bitter - sweet, toasty, dried and dark fruits, cherry, fig, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, touch of fruit compote, lightly numbing alcohol and a touch of tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and soft, but fluffy carbonation. Decent balance and rather drinkable.
