500ml bottle as C84 Santa's Tipple - Black cola like body, no head. Sweet nose of chocolate and vanilla, bit of cinnamon in the taste, little roasty finish.

On keg at Library in Durham. Appearance - hazy brown with red shades. Some head. Nose - dry malt and a touch of sweet spice. German Christmas biscuits. Taste - more spiced German Christmas biscuits. Nutmeg ginger and cinnamon in there. Dried oranges and chocolate too? Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - yep good.

Very hazy deep amber beer, good fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth but with good minerally carbonation on the back end. Sweet lactose malt and sweet cooling spices. Just a pinch of something hotter. Smooth finish. Quite a mellow spiced beer.
