Pint can. Pours a nearly opaque brown color with a small beige head that slowly fades away. The aroma is rather mild an indistinct with traces of winter spices cloves and nutmeg. The taste is winter spices, some pecans, medium roasted malts and a bit of bitter cocoa. The palate is medium in viscosity and the carbonation soft. Finishes short and dry with lingering spices. Overall: Pretty much what I expect from a beer that is called a winter warmer. Good but forgettable.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear mahogany with a small creamy tan head. Aroma has fairly strong mixed spice. Clove and nutmeg stand out. Med body. Not dry, but not sticky. Lots of spice stands in place of hop to hold down the somewhat roasty malt. Clove, nutmeg and cinnamon stand out, but ginger pops up towards the finish. Very nice.

Can picked up from the Aurora Arts location - dark ruby pour - pretty classic winter warmer here - the mark texture and flavor feels distinctly British - earthy, full, medium-dry Marris Otter and/or Golden Promise vibes - lightly roasty, with some medium-sweet cherry cordial character through the middle - spices are present and complex, but not overpowering - finish is warm, moderately spicy/peppery - very mild tannic character throughout - it’s solid and really checks all the boxes on what this style ought to be.
