Keg at the brewery, 4/7/24. Clear dark copper, thin white head, average retention. Aroma of toffee, oak, raisin, whiskey. Taste is toffee, raisin, vanilla. Full bodied.

Panda, courtesy of SHIG, pours with a clear deep copper colored body that has mahogany hues and a tiny ring of white foam bubbles. The aroma offers up boozy bourbon, spicy oak, spicy hops, pine and woody like hops and then a faint softer dark fruity ester sensation. The taste delivers a rich blend of sweet supple malts, muted bitter pine hops, a woody hoppiness and then quickly picking up fairly smooth bourbon booze. In between those notes are thin layers of sweet caramel caramelization infused sweet dark fruity esters. Hovering above all else is a well integrated cloud of booziness helping to drive home the big ABV feel. This is working well as the flavor is deep and rich and integrated yum.

Bottle: Poured a burnt orange amber with a boozy, bourbon, oaky, dark fruits, rich malts. Taste is a light hop, alcohol, boozy, bourbon, dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, rich malts.
