No.23 is a blend of pale ales aged in American oak foeders, and refermented on two varieties of peaches. It’s intensely sour, with powerful tropical fruit aromatics, and zippy notes of fuzzy peach. ✌️

Bottle split a the 2nd CBJ tasting, picked up from CW online, 31/08/23. Moderately hazed orange with an off white cap. Nose is mellow citric zest, grass, pissy nip, damp straw, herb. Taste comprises sharp apricot, light funk layers, peach, lactic tang, hay bale, barnyard notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced acidic spike. Solid.

Bottle shared in London. Cheers! Pours hazed orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Lightly sweet with sturdy acidity, peach, lemon, nectarine, a little salty bite, drying pale wood, apricot. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Cleansing finish with quenching lemony acidity, more tart peaches, apricot. Tasty one.

31st August 2023 Craft Beer Junction bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin. A light haze this gold beer. Small pale cream colour head. Light palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light creamy sweet malts. Tart and salty. Some acidic lemon on the light and semi dry finish. Way too acidic for me.

(500ml bottle c/o Herbalist, thanks!) Pours nearly clear orange-gold with a small fading white head and no lace. Aroma is sour peach, high lemony lactic acidity, semi-tropical pineappleish accents, a little funky rotting orchard floor with mulch, wood. Flavour is very high acidity, among the most sour beer I've had in a while; biting lactic lemon and sour peaches, homemade yoghurt, slightly buttery wood, tart white grapes becoming vinegar, a little peach skin, short finish. Light bodied, a touch oily, very low carbonation. Perhaps this was better fresh though friends told me otherwise; now it's a bit too sour and without the complexity of flavour to back it up. Decent but far from the best in series.
