Our 2022 Festbier is a celebration of British growers and Heritage ingredients. Brewed with English grown Hana malt, the barley used for the early Pilsners then hopped with 100% East Kent Goldings hops. Triple decoction mash to develop the deep bready crust and caramel flavour from the malt. Long and slow fermentation followed by long cold conditioning has created a beer that is clean, full flavoured and beautifully balance.

Can at home, from an online peddler, 29/06/23. Clear golden with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is pale malts, toasted grains, cereals, stale bread, herb, hedgerow. Taste comprises toasted grains, pale and bready malts, herb, straw, hedgerow, corn husk, dusty lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid refreshing Marzen.

440 ml can from Hops & Crafts, Exeter. Pours clear gold with a foamy white cap. Aroma: bread, biscuit malts. The taste follows, some light caramel. Light to medium body with foamy carbonation.
