Keg at BD Shoreditch, 31/08/22. Golden pour topped with a decent off white crown. Nose is dried fruits, straw, biscuit, bitter orange, light malt base, breads. Taste comprises orange peel, grass, straw, biscuit malts, light breads, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dusted with mellow hop bitterness. Not bad ... not an ESB for me ... a kind of English strong vs IPA hybrid.

On tap at Brewdog Clerkenwell, pours a clear dark cherry reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a hint of tart berry, and an even tinier hint of caramel. Flavour is dry and malty, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and a hint of tartness. Not exactly on point — that tartness shouldn't be there. And the malts don't seem forceful enough. For the ABV (and price) this is a letdown.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear copper-gold with a slight, creamy off-white head. Light-medium sweet flavour, some lightly toasted malts, some vague fruity notes, bread, leaves. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, more light fruity-berry notes, sun-kisses malts. Simple, enjoyable.
