A stronger version of our previous keg only release, I Never Promised You a Beer Garden, this saison based beer has an addition of rosehips and Amarillo hops to accentuate the stone fruit and candied citrus peel flavours.

Keg at Keg, Bourne End, 31/07/21. Hazed orange amber with a subtle reddish hue topped with a white cap that veers edgewards. Nose is tarte red berries, funk, light dungy notes, damp bay, farmyard notes. Taste comprises bramble berries, light floral notes, barnyard esters, light acidic ripple, hedgerow, yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good balanced acidic tickle. Decent drop.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours totally clear honey-gold with a fading, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with sturdy acidity, mellow acetic twang, a little old wood, mellow funk, leather, lemony tartness. Medium bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Some further acetic bite in the finish, light minerality, more lemon, leathery berries. Interesting stuff, fairly enjoyable.
