24 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 5/29/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium reddish/orange/amber color with a foamy off white head with poor retention, that reduces to a nothing pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, peppers, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, light cracker/corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of tomato juice, lime, salt, spices, and light malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, peppers, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, light cracker/corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/peppery spice bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tomato juice, lime, salt, spices, and light malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tomato juice, lime, salt, garlic, onion, celery, peppers, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, light cracker/corn, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice robustness and balance of tomato juice, lime, salt, spices, and light malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy tomato, and fairly grainy/sticky/slick balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.5%; with minimal increasing spice heat after the finish through the glass. Overall this is a very good fruit/spice/vegetable beer. All around nice robustness and balance of tomato juice, lime, salt, spices, and light malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; nicely soft, and not overwhelming on any aspect. Well balanced tomato, lime, spices, and salt; with decent adjunct lager presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Liked it a lot more than I remember, one of my new favorites for a style. Used to hate tomato beers.

Can from MacBoost the biggest bender in Rochester during Chelada welfare session; pour has red with a thin pink head, aroma has chopped tomato, could do with heating up and some pepper, with some crusty bread, not getting much lime, Terry needs to sort out the temperature on this, I got the East coast version with the murk from the bottom of the can.

24 oz can. Cloudy orange-amber pour with a fizzy beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Tomato juice nose. Tastes like a V8 mixed with a light beer. Why? Not horrible but not enjoyable. Not beer.

Massive 24oz mega can in filthy hot Houston. It pours hazy red with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is spicy tomato, Tom toms, sweet ketchup, briney, raw onion and vinegar. The taste is crisp, sweet, tangy, ketchup, meaty, salty, tom toms, tangy, vinigerette, lime and salty action with a dry tangy finish. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Bad idea, but this is an OK interpretation. Beats the regular bud chelada imo.

This from a can that was slightly caved in, like there was negative pressure inside. Zero head and almost no carbonation. I think it would have been better with a little more carbonation - to give it a bit more edge. Right now, it’s not too bad - a slightly sweet tomato beer with a hint of salt. Don’t find the lime in it.
Update - better this time around. Good carbonation. A little bit of spice. Kind of a macro brewery version of a homemade chelada. Wish I had some good tacos and tequila to go with it.

Brought by me to the March DC Tasting. Huge 500ml or 20oz can. Poured a light copper color, white fizzy head. Aroma was light tomato juice, some light beer notes - corn. Light spices, touch of lime juice. Flavor was, well - pretty decent for something I thought would be a straight drain pour. Would buy again for use in a beer-based bloody mary.
