Cask. 40th Steel City Beer Festival, Sheffield. Very dark brown. Bubbly, tan head. Roast malts. Some nutty chocolate. Bitter grapefruit. Taste is sweet to start, getting dry, and roast bitter. Decent body, with a bit of chew. Finishes dry, and lasting bitter. Decent.

Cask @ Castle Hotel, Manchester. Very dark but not quite black, with a creamy off-white head. Not quite as strong tasting as it might suggest and has more of a stout or porter texture albeit a thinner one. Its tropical fruits are no so evident in its nose, but they are evident in its taste.
