Cask at the Grand Assembly, Marlow. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is nutty, herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, earthy, herbal, nutty, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Gravicask, half pint, shared with Finn at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Crocheted lacing from a slowly diminishing white head, mahogany coloured body. Caramel malty nose, mid-dry. Malt-fruity flavours with hints of caramel, earth, biscuit, and ripe fruits. Drying finish with a bitter twist. Nice and tasty. (St Albans, 27.09.2023).

24th Aug 2018; Codsall Railway 22nd Beer Festival. Gravity poured half-pint. Chestnut coloured beer, wispy topping. Grapefruit, tropical fruits in the aroma, taste wise there is a good malty base for the citrusy fruits to play with; liked it.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Low key spice tinged malty aroma on a bed of citrus or some such guff. Light chestnut. Frothy slightly off-white head. Light bitter, with a taste that matches the aroma. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. A Bitter but verging on an Amber Ale. Enjoyable spice/herbs. Very drinkable.

Cask at Jacobi's restaurant in Ware while eating lunch with my wife. A chestnut colour in the glass and some lacing. There was loads of gorgeous malt and some light bittering hops that made this a hugely enjoyable lunchtime pint of beer. The abv was nice and low and it perfectly complemented the burger.
