Bottle split at L6 tasting, thanks to Leighton, 23/05/19. Rich black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich roast, chocolate, bitter sweet nose, toffee fudge, light barrel. Taste comprises bitter roast, earthy, bourbon streak, dark chocolate, maple syrup, toffee melt, brown sugars. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Ok easy drinking BA number but stuck somewhere between 3rd and 4th gear for me.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from a trade in the US. Pours deep black-brown with a moderate, foamy beige head. Nice depth, plenty of roasted dark malts, nips of ash and cocoa, dried berries, leather, earth, vanilla, fudge. Full bodied, lightly oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with further soft ashy roast, bittersweet baking cocoa, vanilla, charcoal, fudge, toasted marshmallows. Great stuff overall.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for this rarity. Rarer than an honest remainer politician! Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth and semi dry finish. Smooth and slightly tangy chocolate malts. Mellow and fruity bourbon. A modest maple twist. Minor wet wood. Smooth finish, semi dry. Rich and tasty. Some spice on the aftertaste.
